Grade 3

Skill development, fun, and fun play are the 3 main goals in every RCBA division! The league regularly evaluates in programs to ensure these goals are being met. 

 

Cost: $245 for the season (fees could change before registration opens)

Registration Opens: August 1, 2024

Registration Closes: September 29, 2024

Practices begin: October 28, 2024

Games begin: November 16, 2024

Year- End Tournament Date: March 8 & 9, 2025

 

Game Sessions

During the first 4 week weekshe season, this division uses a mix of basketball drills and 3-on-3, facilitated by an RCBA Master Coach. All drills are geared towards great opportunities for every player to be engaged and get more touches on the ball. After the first 4 weeks teams will begin playing 4-on-4 game format. This division does not play a standard 5-on-5 basketball format.

 

Scoring 

Scores are kept but not displayed during games in this division - this is to increase player, coach, and parent focus on development.

 

Closing Tournaments

The RCBA hosts a 2-day tournament to wrap up our Grade 3 season. This allows players to end the season with a few extra games & is solely an event for fun! 

 

Team Placement

Teams will be made up by zone and with some players from the same school if possible. Be sure to include what nights players are NOT available and we will try to place them on a night that works for them.

 

Scheduling

Practice: Teams will practice one night per week. Practices will be scheduled at the same facility & at the same time every week. While every effort is made to schedule a team's practice facility within their zone, due to facility availability & participant numbers - sometimes it is not possible. 

Games: Teams will play weekly on Saturdays between 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Games are 60 minutes. Game times & locations could change every week.

-RCBA jersey (this jersey must be returned at the end of the season)

-Size 5 Rubber Basketball

Coaching

Coaches are always needed in the RCBA! If you are interested in coaching (no experience necessary) the RCBA will provide tools to assist new coaches.
