RCBA All-Star Division offers a unique and adaptive platform for children in Kindergarten to Grade 8 with cognitive disabilities to dive into the world of basketball. This program is more than just about the sport; it’s about fostering a sense of belonging, team spirit, and camaraderie amongst its participants. RCBA All-Stars provide every child, regardless of their ability or challenges, a chance to fully participate and shine on the basketball court and beyond.

Team Selection

Players should register in the zone they currently live in. The RCBA uses school information to help create teams.

If there are not enough participants in a zone, the RCBA may combine players to create one team and use one central practice location.

Schedule

Teams will have a weekly practice/game on Sunday afternoons. Parents are encouraged to help out if needed for more one-on-one support.

All registered players will receive:

  • T-Shirt
  • Basketball

What Players Need

  • Non-marking indoor runners
  • Athletic clothing
  • Water bottle

Coaching Opportunities

We’re excited to have Special Olympics coaches on hand to support and facilitate, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all participants.

Coaches are always needed in the RCBA! No experience is necessary, and the RCBA provides tools and support to assist new coaches.
