Skill development, fun, and fair play are the main goals in every RCBA division. The league regularly evaluates its programs to ensure these goals are being met.

Game Format & Sessions

This age group will play 4-on-4 for the entire season, designed to maximize player involvement and ball touches. This division does not use a standard 5-on-5 format.

Scoring

Scores are kept in this division but are not displayed during games. This helps maintain focus on player development, learning, and enjoyment.

Closing Tournament

The RCBA hosts a 2-day year-end tournament to wrap up the Grade 4 season. This event provides additional games and is intended as a fun, season-ending experience for all players.

Team Placement

Teams are formed by zone, with efforts made to keep players from the same school together when possible. Players may be placed on a team outside of their requested zones depending on available coaches and registration numbers.

Please include any nights players are not available during registration so we can place them accordingly.

Scheduling

Activity Details
Practice           1 per week, same night/time each week where possible. Facility may vary based on availability and registration numbers.
Games Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Games are 60 minutes. Locations and times may change weekly.

Equipment Provided

  • RCBA jersey (must be returned at end of season)
  • Size 5 rubber basketball

Equipment Needed

  • Non-marking indoor runners
  • Athletic shorts or pants
  • Water bottle

Coaching

Coaches are always needed in RCBA. No experience is required—training and support are provided for all new coaches.
