Teams are drafted based on an evaluation process. Evaluators assess each player’s current skill level, including layups, shooting, dribbling, agility, and quickness.
ALL PLAYERS MAKE A TEAM REGARDLESS OF EVALUATION RESULTS.
IMPORTANT: These evaluations are not tryouts. They are used only to help create balanced teams.
Team placement considers player availability, evaluation results, and other activities.
The RCBA does everything possible to balance skill levels across teams.
Grade 5 & 6 will be combined and divided into competitive pools due to varying skill levels.
Scores are kept and displayed. If the score differential exceeds 25 points, coaches may choose to stop displaying the score.
On the RCBA website, scores are only recorded up to a 25-point differential to discourage running up the score.
All teams qualify for playoffs and are guaranteed a minimum of 2 games.
Playoff brackets are posted, and matchups are based on final regular-season standings.
